Sun* Officially Establishes a U.S. Entity, Marking a Key Milestone in Strengthening Its Position on the Global Technology Map

Recently, to accelerate business development and strengthen customer engagement in the U.S. market, Sun* officially established "Sun Asterisk USA, LLC (Sun* US)" in Austin, Texas. 

Background

As AI, data, and digital technologies become key drivers of global economic growth, the United States continues to lead the world in technology and innovation. At the same time, it remains one of the most demanding and competitive markets to enter. In response to this trend and the growing demand from partners in North America, expanding Sun*'s presence in the U.S. has become one of the company's strategic priorities. 

The establishment of Sun* US will enable closer engagement with customers, create new business opportunities, and accelerate market development across the United States. Headquartered in Austin, Texas—one of the fastest-growing technology hubs in the country—Sun* will combine the engineering capabilities of Sun* Vietnam with its Business Co-Creation expertise developed through years of experience in Japan and across Asia to support U.S. businesses in achieving sustainable growth and long-term success.

Operating Model

To leverage both local customer access and global delivery capabilities, business development and market expansion activities in the United States will be led by Sun* US, while project development and delivery will be carried out in close collaboration with other companies within the Sun* Group, including Sun* Vietnam.

Reflecting on this important milestone, Miss Sally Bui, Manager of Business Development Vietnam Unit, shared: "The establishment of Sun*'s U.S. entity is a highly significant milestone for the business development activities of Sun* Vietnam. From both commercial and legal perspectives, it will make contracting, transactions, and payments with customers much smoother and more efficient. From a sales standpoint, having a legal entity in the U.S. also strengthens customer confidence, especially for organizations that require working with a U.S.-registered company. Looking further ahead, this serves as the foundation for gradually building a local team that will represent Sun* in the U.S. market." 
 

This milestone marks the point at which Sun* is now able to work with customers as a U.S.-based company. More importantly, it demonstrates the company's strong commitment to succeeding in one of the world's most competitive markets.

Building on this foundation, Sun*'s next strategic objective is to expand into larger enterprise accounts, including Fortune 500 companies and organizations within the U.S. Federal Government. Most recently, Sun* signed its first service agreement with a U.S. federal financial institution - an achievement that represents a major milestone for the team. 

At the same time, we will continue narrowing the geographical distance between ourselves and the market by increasing on-site business trips and face-to-face customer consultations, allowing us to deliver even greater value to our clients.
