Enlighten with the movement of learning and sharing knowledge through Sunners’ Monthly Report
Monthly Report is not just for checking in and out, please check out how these below groups made use of monthly reports to exchange information, improve their knowledge and skills constantly!
As you all know, we only have one more day before the end of July - the month of the core value "Go fast" - "Learn fast, exchange information fast". All Sun* has been through an extremely exciting July with many activities from workshops, seminars to close sharing on many topics. However, it must be emphasized that, not only in July but at all other times of the year, activities to share knowledge and foster skills for members are still carried out regularly by the Unit.
However, in a group with many talented "creators", we certainly have plenty of topics to discuss. So, what are the criteria for selecting typical topics, from which to organize a seminar series? Many groups have taken advantage of a super-useful tool that is always available to set the premise for impressive sharing and seminars of Teams, Groups, and Units. And that is the Monthly Report - The monthly self-study report that any official Sun* employee has to make.
Monthly Report là để chấm công?
Monthly Report is a monthly self-study report of individuals, on any topic that you want to research, learn more deeply. Through Monthly Report, the company hopes to create an environment for members to always learn and share continuously, thereby being able to adapt to unpredictable market changes as well as enhance self-improvement and self-development.
Thus, it can be seen that, through this report, each individual can learn and draw on new knowledge for themselves. However, if the lessons that have been refined, selected and summarized in Monthly Report are shared with many members, they will become much more useful, even bring growth to a group, a unit, or the whole company.
At that time, Monthly Report was no longer simply a tool for checking employees, but also a great way to spread good values.
How did groups make use of the Monthly Report to exchange information continuously?
Organize seminar when there is excellent Monthly Report
Group 4, EUV2 of GL Le Dinh Vu has been doing this for a long time. Monthly Reports in the form of Viblo posts are aggregated and shared in a group box. With a good post, Mr. Vu will suggest a seminar to share widely with group members. According to him, the effectiveness of this activity can be seen in many ways, such as: "Developing soft skills for members such as presentation and critical skills; Increase understanding of a topic that they didn’t have enough time to dig in depth when doing projects; Increase interaction between members, help them understand each other better."
Nguyen Ngoc Son B's group (EUV2) also takes advantage of the Monthly Report as a great topic source for regular seminars and sharing sessions. In addition to creating ordinary research, Mr. Son often encourages people to learn more and turn it into a seminar, a sharing, or simply a Viblo post. Besides, there will be more sharing activities on the typical Monthly Reports of the month, and put them in the group box for more people to refer to soon.
Especially, there will be seminars and talk shows in Sơn B’s group related to soft skills or life experiences in the near future, promising to become a place for members to freely share and understand each other more and relieve stress at work. "Small things always create unexpected effects", said Mr. Sơn.
Best Monthly Report Award
That is the form that GL Bùi Quý Tuyên (EUV2) is implementing for his group. Currently, the internal group has the Best Monthly Report award for the best post- the post received 3 nominations from 3 teams.
“This awarding activity helps arouse the spirit of eagerness to learn new knowledge among the members. There have been positive signs from the Monthly Report activity as there are quality posts in recent months that make it to the Top Trending on Viblo", said Mr. Tuyên. In addition, regarding Tech topics (SwiftUI, Coroutine), sharing (Time management, Presentation skills), the seminars received good feedback from members as they said they could acquire a lot of useful knowledge and skills. At the same time, everyone in the group also wants to have more seminars/sharings. They even actively suggest topics that they are interested in to carry out in the next seminar.
In the group of Ms. Phung Thi Hoai Ngoc (DEU), instead of writing reports or making products like they used to do, the members were self-learning, synthesizing the knowledge and ways to implement Design thinking, from which to organize internal seminars. These seminars will use peer-to-peer scoring, then award and record the results as a Monthly Report. This will not only help designers actively learn knowledge but also help them improve their ability to present, prepare document and communicate with each other.
Monthly Reports are not just empty posts!
In the group of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Ly (EUV4), she encourages members to research and learn new knowledge as well as participate in online courses and exams to replace the monthly report. Attending courses and getting certifications will definitely help members improve their skills and be able to train and share new knowledge for the team.
Also in EUV4, members of Huỳnh Bá Thanh Phong’s group are encouraged to learn and research projects to develop themselves, such as coding a certain product and presenting it to the group so that everyone can exchange and learn.
Thus, we can see that many groups are taking full advantage of Monthly Report for continuous exchanging and developing activities. Hopefully, in the near future, there will be more activities developed from quality Monthly Reports for us to join.
