Exclusive look into We Are Sun*: The special event for new official staff
On October 3, 13 official members of Sun* attend the first We Are Sun*. This event is a replacement for Official Staff Ceremony, for those who complete their probationary and officially join Sun*. The story of vision, mission and core values will help them understand more about the company's culture, the meaning of their work, and their own path of future development.
As Sun* News have mentioned in the previous article, from October 2019, Official Staff Ceremony will take on a new form called We Are Sun*.
With this new format, We Are Sun* is held in 4 hours, so that the B.O.D. can share with the official staff the vision, mission and core values that the company is working and aiming towards. Via stories and experience after years of working, messages from Managers about vision, mission and core value become more relatable. The culture of the company forms the behavior and action of the staff.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Uoc Mo - Manager of HR Unit said: ‘Theoretically speaking, company culture is the value, belief, the form that members in an organization agree and act upon. It is portrayed the most clearly in the value, mission and core values, and it determines the success of that company”.
Understanding company culture is not just the issue of directors, but also of every individuals in any organization or business. Those values will become the navigator for members to orient their own path of development.
On the slogan "Make awesome things that matter", Nguyen Hoang Ha from Infra (Unit 1) said that this is an encouragement for each of us to "make even more awesome things".
And for Tran Thi Thanh Tuyen - Unit 2, 'awesome things" are the contribution in the making of the best products to the clients.
On the mission "create positive changes to the society", Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan explained, "we want to use technology to make products that can solve the social problems. A single individual or organization will not have enough resource to do everything. That is why people need to be connected. That is why Sun* has the Asterisk in the logo since "we wish to accompany people in making awesome things that matter to the society".
That is why in the second part of We Are Sun*, 13 members were divided into 3 teams and together they built ideas for a product that can make postive change to the society. This challenge helps Sunners understand that a product is only awesome when it is not just technically excellent, but it also has to be able to solve social problems.
Over the 3 ideas of building a social media for IT students, pollution alert system, lost and found application, the health consultant website became the winner, as it is the most feasible and valuable to the society.
In the third part, Mr. Bui Xuan Trung - Section Manager of Unit 3 introduced the organization, benefits for Sun* staff, as well the career path of each position.
The B.O.D. also sent a message to the new staff: "Sun* determines to become a creative studio. The only difference between outsourcing and creative is that we know what we are working for.
If we work with contracts, commited to the leader and the clients, we are only a program manufacturer. Creative is when we know that we are making products that matter, that can bring awesome things to life".
We wish that Sunners will find their mattered days and their own 'awesome things that matter' in Sun*.
