Optimism in the pandemic: When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!

Because life is not always the way we want it. And now what we need is 'the optimism in this pandemic'.

The Covid-19 has put the whole world in a 'once in a blue moon' situation. Many countries around the world execute the lockdown order. No one is allowed to leave the house, except for a medical emergency. Despite these gloomy days, somewhere, people still see the bright light of hope. That's when Italians sang on the balcony, dispelling the fear of Covid-19. That's when the 27-year-old doctor took the 87-year-old man infected with Covid-19 to the yard to watch the sunset after more than a month of not seeing the sun.

Many people say that "Not only the sun, the picture also shows hope and optimism."

That's why, the difficulty that life brings is the raw materials for you to make your life colorful and interesting. It is all up to you to see the new side of tragedy.

During these pandemic days, if someone asks you whether you worried about the number of cases infected and the number of deaths still increasing each day, then the answer is obviously yes. But we, from the Government to the people, are still together fighting against the epidemic. The government is willing to accept some economic losses such as border closures, no visas for foreigners, and strict lockdown orders for the areas having infected people.

Soon, I believe, maybe just next week or next 2 weeks, the disease will be repelled. Life will return to normal as it is. And by the end of the year, we will remember Covid-19 as an event, horrifying but beautiful of the "community power".

This picture is not only about the sun, it is also about hope.

During the epidemic days, Sun* was one of the first companies to decide to let employees work remotely. Somewhere, we hear about complaints that being home is so sad, so boring and so cramped. But wait, if you notice carefully, you will see that the remote-working makes us stick together more.

At the company, seeing colleagues all day is a bit boring, sometimes it gets lazy to talk to each other, but now, being far away makes us enhance communication and talking to get more understanding. And sometimes I miss my colleagues, I miss the company and the free space to chill on the 13th and 18th floors, whenever I'm stressed, I go out and have some tea there.

As CEO Kobayashi said, 'this is an opportunity for us to try a new form of work.' For me, as the writer of this article 'this is an opportunity for me to challenge myself to practice my commitments'.

No pain no gain, Mr. Bui Quy Tuyen has already warned us!

Like, getting up on time as you have to go to the company and check-in right at 7:45. Now, I get up at 6:30 am, instead of struggling to drive 10kms to work, I leisurely brush my teeth, wash my face, have breakfast and open the computer to join a hangout at 7:15. Last week, I was challenging myself, getting up at 6 o'clock and exercising in the morning for 30 minutes. Those are moments I haven't experienced for over 10 years of working.

Let's take a bit challenging for ourselves like Mr. Nguyen Huu Su does

Plato once said 'Courage is knowing what not to fear.' Actually this is not easily done as it is said. But whether we are afraid or not, the danger is still there. So instead of worry and fear, Sunners will choose Be Optimistic and Stay Focused as our goals.

And during this time, the common goal of Sunners is 'projects meet deadline and quality", right everyone?

Yes, I think so!
