SUN* DA NANG COMPANY TRIP 2019: TRIP TO THE WEST

Da Nang people often joke that: "We have good karma!" when their days traveling in the West were full of great blue skies and cool summer breezes, completely different from the forecasted rain the week before. The comfortable atmosphere increased the excitement for the trip. 

Da Nang office's Company Trip of this year is not just about "sightseeing", but also experiences. Different from the "luxury" of white sandy beaches, fancy hotels or magnificent sceneries; the West attracts tourists with tenderness and simplicity, with activities that bring people back to their childhood, to the most homely experiences in the biggest plateau of the country. 

Coming here, Sunners got to visit huge fruit groves, then climbing up trees to pick fruits like the little days. The IT engineers suddenly got to go back to be little boys and girls, with joy gleaming in their eyes when they "picked" a sweet and juicy longans, or caught a guava from a teammate hanging on the trees. If not climbing trees and picking fruits, people gathered around fruit plates, swinging back and forth in the hammocks beneath the coconut tree shades, playing with the adorable puppies and kitties of the owner, just as peaceful as the atmosphere of the Western wetlands.

The normally witty and dynamic developers with a cool head with hardcore code lines suddenly become adorably clumsy with the paddles of wooden dinghies, struggling with paddling straight; the boatwomen sometimes even 'scoffed' at them for incorrect techniques, slowing down the dinghy. It was "struggling", with tiring arms, but everyone nodded in agreement: "Paddling is 'awesome'". 

One of the activities that impress them the most is tending to a school of fish by themselves. A full bowl of food thrown, thousands of fish jumped up, taking the Sunners by surprise and laughter, they joked: "These fish even eat more than us Da Nang Sunners." After the visit to the fishmonger's, anyone who eat a lot was called "eat like a featherback." 

On the final day, Sun* Da Nang landed on the dynamic Ho Chi Minh City. After "pretty chill" days in the Western wetlands, people get to "party hard" in the sleepless city. The team exclaimed, "Both peaceful gardening and dynamic partying, what a balance."

Today, life goes back to normal, Sunners in Da Nang go back to focusing on the code lines and hardcore projects, but surely people got extra energy supply from the past joyful trip to the West, along with unforgettable memories with the lovely land. The West, see you one day!
